Stay safe from scams

The last thing we want is for any of our members to fall victim to a pension scam. Follow the four steps below to stay safe:

  1. Be cautious of unsolicited communication

whether through phone calls, emails or messages

  2. Check the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Register

Check the firm or individual contacting you is authorised by checking the FCA Register

  3. Be wary of high-pressure tactics, don't rush into financial decisions

Take the time to consider and research any offers.

  4. If you experience anything suspicious

It’s worth reporting it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm, or by visiting the Action Fraud website.

Remember – if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
